Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
